we have a great need for rugs, but I have a hard time finding rugs that I like. Inspired by this image (thanks O joy!), a size Q crochet hook, a few library books on rug hooking, a pile of dirty old white t-shirts, a couple of packets of idye and the desire to make my own damn rug.
Matt's been hanging on to these t shirts since high school I think, and while he can't really wear them any more (too shrunken, to ragged, too dirty - they are old-school organic cotton t shirts that I just couldn't toss, never ever. While I'm cutting up the shirts into 1.5 to 2 inch continuous strips, I can't cut through the images and the timeless messages they behold.
Oh, and they say that Mount Redoubt is going to explode.
