Here is a peek at the back of the patchwork. I love the way you can windmill the seams between the squares. I'm pretty sure that this will be be a pillow cover once quilted. But it was fun and I want to do more.... and I just have so many squares cut out from when I was ambitious enough to think I might actually make a full-sized quilt for the first time. Not by hand, mind you.
Well. We'll just have to see.
On another note, I've been exploring this virtual terrain and I'll take a moment to link to some of the craft/artist/mom blogs so I don't forget how to get there.

My mom has always maintained that art and life are all mixed up. This is true. I have witnessed it. I am party to it. I think that this is one of the things that makes a really good blog: the jumble that is the creative process vs. the balance that is family life.
I will strive to do a better job of representing that balance here. My other blog, the first one, really focused on the development of my family - my pregnancy, my child, my marriage and my extended family and friends. It now serves as a photo update for those looking for an Everett fix.
So. What to do. Continue with two blogs? Hmmm. We'll see. I probably will continue to post a photo a week or so on the first blog but the bulk of my life and how it fits together with arts, crafts, parenting, partnering, home-making, and so on will be covered here.
Both blogs need a makeover anyway.
Oh, and also...
The other day I clicked my way over to mom-101. While not a craft blog, she is certainly very crafty with her words and I especially am enjoying her political musings. I am not able to vote because I am Canadian, but I am as immersed as anyone else living in the USA during the 2008 election coverage.
Oh my dear Canada. Stay focused on the Olympics and other global happenings..

hello there, I'm glad you found me because I'm totally enjoying your blog. the patchwork looks great, i love the color palette you chose, can't wait to see the finished item.. Also totally agree with your mum about art and life being mixed up.
Thank you so much for the link! And yeah, I'm so not a crafter. I admire those of you who are though. That patchwork is awesome - even backwards like that. It looks like some crazy modernization of a prarie skirt on Project Runway or something.
Hello Fanja and Mom101!

Thanks so much stopping by and for taking the time to comment (with such kind, encouraging words).
