p.s. I've given up on sourdough for now. I just baked my first loaf a la New York Times and that's the end of my experiment. I now have my daily (well, weekly anyway) bread.

I'm not sure what I'll do with my fridge pet - probably keep it alive.
or eat it.... hmmm...think I'll stop calling it a pet.
